Linda Rose
Managing Partner
Linda Rose has practiced exclusively immigration and nationality law for more than 25 years and is licensed in the states of Hawaii and Tennessee. She is listed in Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers.
Ms. Rose earned her J.D. degree in 1986 from the University of Hawaii. She has a Master’s degree in Public Health, adding to her expertise in the health care professions, and a Master’s degree in Anthropology, which makes her more attuned to cultural issues. In addition to her formal education, Ms. Rose has studied music during the summers at Berklee College of Music and has traveled to Ghana, Africa, to pursue her interest in music and foreign culture. She is particularly well-positioned to assist with music and entertainment-related immigration matters as well.
Ms. Rose is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has held a nationally-elected seat as a Director of the AILA Board of Governors for the past 12 years. She has served multiple terms on AILA’s Department of Labor (DOL) Liaison Committee, which negotiates with DOL policy and practice procedures regarding PERM Labor Certification, H-1B Labor Condition Applications, and other processes controlled by DOL. She currently serves on the AILA liaison committee known as FACES (Fashion, Athletics, Culture, Entertainment, and Science).
Ms. Rose is an Adjunct Professor at the Vanderbilt University Law School, where she has taught Immigration Law and Policy for 12 years. She also is a member of IMMLAW, the national consortium of select immigration attorneys. She lectures regularly to employers and attorneys and has written many articles on immigration law, including Prevailing Wages, PERM Labor Certification, H-1B Labor Condition Applications, and National Interest Waivers. On a personal note, Ms. Rose is of Portuguese and Italian descent, has lived in Mexico, and speaks Spanish. She practiced Go-Ju karate for 30 years. She enjoys jazz music and plays jazz vibraphone with her band Rose on Vibes Quintet.
Cheryl Williams
Partner
Ms. Williams has practiced exclusively immigration and nationality law for more than 15 years. She earned her J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, and is licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where she graduated summa cum laude and was Valedictorian of her graduating class.
Ms. Williams is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) serving as a national mentor and lecturer. She has written numerous articles on, for example, religious workers and intracompany transferees. She lectures and mentors on areas of family-based immigration and I-864 Affidavit of Support issues.
Ms. Williams has also studied French Language and Civilization at the Sorbonne in Paris, and has traveled extensively. On a personal note, she is a Master SCUBA diver and NAUI instructor in scuba diving. She has visited many international destinations in pursuit of her sport. She also is an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America as a Troop Committee Member for Troop 17, and a Cubmaster for Pack 32, both in Nashville, Tennessee. She has two sons, ages 14 and 8.
Milen Saev
Senior Associate Attorney
Milen Saev is licensed to practice law in the State of New York. He received his J.D degree in 2001 from Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he received the highest achievement award in Immigration Law and Policy. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and Business Administration from American University in Bulgaria.
Mr. Saev was born and raised in Bulgaria. In addition to his native language, he speaks fluent Russian. Because of his interest and expertise in international business, Mr. Saev services many of the firm’s internationally-based corporate clients. He understands the need for corporate clients to accomplish international transfers swiftly and efficiently, and is particularly adept at L-1 blanket petitions, EB-1 multi-national manager and executive transfers, as well as national interest waivers and exceptional ability petitions. When not practicing law, Mr. Saev enjoys alpine skiing.
Rose Paxtor Hernandez
Associate Attorney
Ms. Hernandez earned her J.D. degree in May 2007 from Vanderbilt University Law School, and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. Her focus of work at the law firm includes humanitarian cases, such as deportation, U visas, waivers, and TPS. She also focuses on all other aspects of immigration, including employment- and family-based cases, especially with our Spanish-speaking clients. A Nashville native, Ms. Hernandez studied abroad in Costa Rica, and is fluent in Spanish.
Ms. Hernandez became an immigrant advocate after college as an AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer at the Political Asylum Project of Austin, where she worked to recruit, train and support community members volunteering for ther clinic, and also gave human rights presentations to immigration detainees. During law school, she earned the Scholastic Award in Immigration Law and Policy, was an associate editor on the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment Law and Practice, and received a Public Interest Service Award.
